For You--Have I Got a Plan!

Understanding Your Worth and Value

                         For You…Have I Got a Plan!

“He’s coming…He’s coming. Get in order. Stand up tall. Did you brush your teeth? Fix your hair? Now smile, be confident. Today one of you is going to be picked to be the next king of Israel.”
Seven brothers tried to look their very best.
Seven had to impress the prophet Samuel who would choose one of them. Seven were capable, strong, good
looking men. They were really—something! They were the magnificent seven! Who could be better?
Seven knees were knocking as Samuel examined each candidate. But Samuel was puzzled. “Now, certainly, Lord, one of these you have chosen. Look how tall and strong and valiant they are. Surely one of these is to
be king.”
Samuel walked down the line again.
“Samuel, I don’t care… good looking or not.  I don’t see like others do. I’m God. I look at the heart. That’s what important to me. I
have rejected all of these seven magnificent. “
“Jesse, you’re holding out on me. Do you have any other sons?”
“Well… there’s David but he just watches the
sheep. He’s a wimpy kid. Sure you want him?”
“Now—right now! Bring me that boy!”
But God loved David’s heart. God heard David’s cry and helped
him kill a lion and a bear. And God heard David sing songs to Him/ No one else did. So what—God did!
So a young unnoticed David came running and the moment Samuel saw his face he heard these words. “This is he. This is the next king. Anoint him with oil. Now—right now!”
And oil flowed from Samuel’s horn as the magnificent seven stood
watching in silence and unbelief.
Your worth and value is seen by your heavenly Father. Come close
and listen to His heart, His love for you. Ask Him for the plans He has for you. Trust Him with all your heart. He loves you—so. He sees you standing there and says, “I pick that one! I choose YOU!”

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb.

God Chooses--Me?

Understanding Your Worth and Value

God Chooses—Me?
“He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love”
Ephesians 1:4
Moses couldn’t believe his eyes. Why wasn’t this burning bush—burning up!
But God was there—in the bush—speaking to Moses.
“Moses, I have chosen you to go down to Egypt. I’ve heard the cries of My people. Pharaoh has made them slaves… treats them
like dirt. My people suffer! Tell Pharaoh to let them go!”
“You’re kidding, Lord,  right? You choose me? You want me to stand
before Pharaoh and say, “Let the Jews go.”?
“But I’ll be with you!”
“Well, the Jews won’t believe me.  I was a failure in Egypt”
“But, your ready now.  Say to the people,  I AM WHO I AM has sent you. Then they’ll believe.”
“Aw, come on Lord, give me a break. They’ll never believe You sent me.”
“See the rod in your hand, throw it on the ground.”  Moses
jumped—the rod became a snake. “Pick up
the snake, Moses.”  Unbelievable—it became a rod again “Now they’ll believe you!”
“But Lord, I stutter. I can’t talk right.”

“I made your mouth. Obey Me…open your mouth!”
“Oh, Lord, send someone else…pretty please with sugar on top!”
The Almighty was losing patience but—God always wins an argument.
Moses relinquished, went to Egypt and watched ten amazing, horrendous plagues, destroy the land.
Finally Pharaoh screamed. “I can’t take any more! Get lost!”

The Lord chose Moses and He chose YOU before He made the heavens and the earth. He sees YOU now and says, "I choose you... I choose you...forever... I  choose—YOU!
Jesus loved you first, went to the cross, was crucified and rose from
the dead for one reason—YOU!
YOU are chosen.
                       Don’t argue.
                                     Walk with Jesus
Let Him re-arrange ..your life.
And stand amazed, as Moses did!

You are valuable to God. Chosen!  That’s it! Period! End of argument.
Dear Lord, Help me believe I'm important to You! I choose YOU!

God Sees--YOU!

Understanding Your Worth and Value

 God Sees-- YOU!

" Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I separated you for myself"
Jeremiah 1:5

It was early morning and as usual the Lord God walked in the garden to spend time
spend time with Adam. This… was His favorite time of day.
               "Adam, where are you?”
“Uh oh. It’s the Lord, Eve! What if He sees us naked, finds out we ate the apple? The fun's gone... we've heard His voice. Let’s hide!”
So Adam and Eve crouched behind the trees hoping the Almighty
would go away, leave them alone, not find them out.
But God knew. He knew from the beginning what would happen. And His heart was broken. He loved Adam and Eve with the
tenderness of a mother.
The Lord called again. “Adam, where are you?” Of course He knew.
He is God, but still—He required a response.
“But Lord, it was Eve’s fault. She tricked me.”
“No Lord, it was the serpents fault. He made me doubt You.”

And while the Lord slaughtered an animal to clothe Adam and Eve with its skin, and cover their first sin—He saw YOU!
In fact He saw you before He laid the foundation of the world. He knew the day would come for Jesus to step from His glory and die a tortuous death for you and—He saw YOU!
You are chosen, picked out of many that the Lord may give you
favor. You are fashioned by the Almighty, greatly loved and—He sees YOU!
If you fasten on to this truth it will change your life—forever!
You are not an accident. You are not in the way. You are not
boring  and you are definitely not a looser.
I’m talking to you about God—Creator—the First and the Last, the
One who’s coming back—Jesus! The One who—sees YOU!

Dear Lord, I want to know you...know you love me. Please show me!

The Least Ones - A True Story

– Great People are Humble before God
The Least Ones – A True Story

“What do you think you’re doing? Don’t bother Jesus with your children.  He’s tired! So shoo!”
Saddened mothers and disappointed little ones turned slowly away. All day they had talked of meeting this wonderful Jesus. What it would be like to see Him eye ball to eye ball and be the one to sit upon His lap.
“I guess you have to be big and important before Jesus notices
you.”
“I thought He was different” added another.
“Well He’s not! Jesus is like all the other grownups who say children should be seen and not heard.”
The rest of the story
An angered Jesus arose from His rest and put his disciples in their place.
“Don’t you know anything? Don’t you understand value?  These little ones are the heart of my kingdom. You must become like them. Bring them to me…now!”
The disciples hung their heads in shame while Jesus opened His arms and called the children.
And they came—running! They looked into the kindest eyes they
ever remember seeing. With adoring faces they hugged Jesus and begged to sit close to Him.
“Jesus, let me sit on your knee.”
“Jesus, I have a loose tooth.”
“Jesus, I love you!”
Jesus, my cat is sick. Please pray for her.”
And the King of kings had the time of His life. He was in His element.
Each mother cried a few tears as the Savior commented on God’s greatness in her little shining star.
The fatigue was gone. Jesus was refreshed.

He is King—Creator—God. He is He returning soon to defeat the devil and shut the mouths of the wicked.
And yet, one of His greatest moments was His time with the small, the weak, the helpless, and the humble—the ones who knew they
needed Him desperately. Were they the least ones? No—these were the great ones!
"Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 18:3
Dear Lord, I am grown but on the inside I am still a child in great need of You. I come to you now as a little one and humble myself before You. I NEED YOU!
