How Can God Love Me...I've Sinned

Understanding Your Worth and Value

God Loves Me-- Always?
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
“I am God. I am love—all the time.”
“But… I cheated in school.”
“Disappoint Me? I love you still.”
“But…I lied to my parents and sneaked out of the house”
“I don’t love you one day and hate you the next.”
“But…  I used Your name as a curse word.”
“I showed My love for you that when you were a sinner I died for you.” (Romans 5:8)
“I’m  too fat, too stupid, no good at sports. You love me? No one else does.”
A true story
Zacchaeus was a tax collector. He was really really short, really really rich and really reallydishonest. One day news came to Jericho that Jesus was coming to town.
I’ve got to see this Jesus. What’s going on with this man everyone’s talking about?
But the people lined the street. Zacchaeus couldn't get through

the crowd. No one made a way for him. They hated him! So he climbed a tree. Suddenly Jesus
was there.
“Get yourself down, Zacchaeus!”
That’s crazy! He knows my name!
”I’m going to your house today.”
“I’m coming, Lord, I’m coming!”

The people grumbled. “That’s not fair! Zacchaeus is a crook!”
But Jesus knew what he was doing.

I am a despised sinner, a cheat, a liar. Yet
this Jesus looks deeply into my eyes and heart like no one ever has. He loves me?
“Lord, I’ll give half of my wealth to the poor and those I’ve cheated I’ll give back four times what I stole.”
And Jesus smiled!
This can be your story too!
That’s too good to be true.

But it is true. Jesus is always—calling your name—loving you!

God loves YOU-- period!
Dear Lord, Thank you for loving me. I love you too!
