He Loves Me Always?

Day Four- He Loves Me Always?
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV

God is love—all the time. We may disappoint Him, but He never takes back His love. He is not like men who repay you when you step on their toes. He is not fickle like men, who one day sing your praise and the next shout condemnation. Your heavenly Father always has you on His heart. He always works for your best interests. And He always wants to prosper you. Too good to be true, isn’t it? And yet He remains—constantly drawing you to Himself.
“But I cheated in school. I lied to my parents and sneaked out of the house. I blasphemed the Lord’s name, and still He loves me?”
“People treat me like scum. I feel degraded and ugly. The Lord still loves me?”
“I’m too fat, too skinny, a failure at sports, and studies are more than a challenge. Why love me?”
“I’m invisible to the ones I want to impress. My efforts to find a niche hit the wall. How could God love me? No one else does.”

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8 NIV
“Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:39 NIV
“Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life for his friends.”
John 15:13 NIV

Your Father has spoken. Don’t argue with the Most High. You are loved. Period!

Dear Lord,  I receive your love. I say to you “I love you, too.”

Review by Jacob-
"God always loves me, no matter what I do,
he will always be there for me. Even if I lie,
cheat, steal, etc... he never takes back his everlasting love."

He Has Plans for Me?

Day Three - He Has Plans for Me?
“For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD.
"They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

The young shepherd boy carefully tended his father’s sheep, while his brothers paraded before the great prophet Samuel. The reason of Samuel’s visit was to anoint or choose the next king of Israel. David’s brothers looked like kings: tall, virile, handsome. Their father beamed too…yet the Lord rejected all seven of them. “Do you have any other boys?” asked Samuel.

“Well—there is David—who’s just watching a few sheep.”

“Bring him to me! I’ll not rest until I have done the Lord’s business.”

Perhaps you know the story of how this little, underestimated brother got the prize and became Israel’s most famous king. God had a plan for David that blew his brothers away.

Not only are you chosen, but you are picked for a purpose. Did you feel hopeful when you read yesterday’s devotion?

“Could it be that the Almighty has plans that will amaze me, my friends, and even my teachers and parents?”

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world."
Jeremiah 1:5 NLT

“Do you hear me now? Are you ready to put on your boots and follow the passion I have given you?” says the Lord who formed you, chose you, and called you for purpose.

                        Dear Lord,

Show me the path—Show me the passion—Show me—And

I will put on my boots and follow.”

Review by Emma-
"God has plans for me and a purpose for doing so. I am proud to say that He is my God and I am anxious to see what's ahead. For God knows my paths and has called on me and I have been chosen by God. He will always be there for me. "if I go up to the heavens, you are there; if i make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise up on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139 8-10

He Chooses Me?

Day Two: He Chooses Me?
“Long ago, even before he made the world, God loved us
and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”
Ephesians 1:4 NLT

It can’t be true. I don’t believe it!  God chose me? He knew me before creation, sent His only Son, and chose me? Doesn’t He choose the beautiful people, the ones my friends admire? Doesn’t He choose the teacher’s pet and the gifted athlete that receives applause from the world? If I’m simple enough to believe that the Almighty would search me out, I’m in for a big disappointment. I’ll settle for being average. I’ll aspire to no expectations, and avoid let down and certain rejection.
“What’s that you say, Lord? Am I reading you right?”

“Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise
in the world's eyes, or powerful, or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful.”
I Corinthians 1:26-27 NLT

“Really, Lord? I want to believe that. Can there be something more? If I’m chosen, what am I chosen for? And what if I reject this wonderful news that I am chosen by God? What if I trust in my own self-assessment? Will I have any regret?”

Dear Lord,
Make me bold to take you at your Word. I choose you!

Review by Macy-
"God chose me, and that means I need to follow Him and what he has planned for my life. He has chosen everything that I will do and I am excited to see what he has in store"

More Than A Wimpy Kid

Living on the Cutting Edge

Week 1:
You are valuable to God

Day 1:  God knows me?
**Don't miss Hannah's review before posting your own comment!

"O Lord, you have searched me and you know me."
Psalms 139:1 NIV

Have you ever questioned if God, creator of our universe is actually aware you exist? Maybe you have been told that He knows the number of hairs on your head and that He knew and fashioned you wonderfully in your mother's womb. But do you really believe God's knowledge about everything could include even you? Perhaps you say, "Why would the number of my hairs be important to God anyway? Doesn't He have more pressing issues than knowing my  hair count?" Or, "God knows about other people who are important but not me. Who am I anyway that God would notice me?"

'Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?' declares the LORD.
'Do not I fill heaven and earth?' declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 23:24 NIV

Not only are you known and fashioned by the Almighty, you are greatly loved. If you fasten on to this truth it will change your life and the way you live. And, yes, He really does know your hair count. You ask, why? The answer - counting hair is easy for God! That's how much he loves you!

     Dear Lord,

Please make me keenly aware of your knowledge of me. I want to believe and be confident that you see and know me intimately.

Review by Hannah -
"God is with you all the time and can help you with anything; no matter how small. On tests, I often pray and ask him to help me remember the answers."
