Boo Hoo - Poor Me!
"Nor should we complain as some of them did,
and were killed by the destroyer."
I Corinthians !0:10
“But, Lord, no one will believe me.”
“Oh yes, they will. I have a plan.”
“I made your voice, I made your tongue. I will help your
speech.”
“But Lord, you really must send someone else.”
And so the conversation went between God and Moses.
Moses complained to God why he couldn’t go to Egypt, why he couldn’t talk to
Pharaoh and set God’s people free. And God was not pleased with such murmuring,
such self-pity. “Who are you trusting, Moses? Me or yourself?”
Before young David was crowned king of Israel, no one gave
him a second thought. They didn’t see what God knew.
“It’s not fair. No one treats me right. I’m just the
little brother, Father’s
errand boy. I’m the laughing stock of the family.”
Moses finally obeyed God and the people of Israel went free.
David ignored the naysayers, killed a giant
and became King.
.
What if?
“Boo hoo. It’s not fair. Everybody hates me…wants to crucify
me. And I’ve
done nothing wrong. In fact I’m perfectly perfect Well,
I’ll tell you what…I’m
not going to do it! Not going to the cross. For them?
Hah! Forget it!”
Well, He could have. But He
saw you, loved you, had a plan for you…a great plan and
said, “For you,
I’ll gladly go to the cross and rise again! I love—you!
I’ll gladly go to the cross and rise again! I love—you!
Dear Lord,
You will make me
great. I will look at your love for me! Thank you! I love you.
